Description
A vase usually disappears behind the flowers. The Bloom Vase does the opposite, a slatted timber form that swells outward, draws back at the neck, and opens again at the top, framing whatever it holds rather than hiding behind it.
Materials & Craftsmanship
Hand-built in our Worcestershire workshop from FSC-certified oak or walnut. Each vertical slat is shaped individually so the grain follows the curve of the form, then assembled by hand and finished with a natural protective oil that lets the timber age into its own character. The slatted construction is what gives the Bloom its lightness. The form reads as carved from one piece, but each strip is its own quietly considered detail.
Styling – Where It Fits
The Bloom is generously scaled, built to hold a full bouquet, a tall sculptural single stem, or a dried botanical arrangement. It sits well on a dining table as a centrepiece, on a hallway console as a sculptural anchor, or on a low side table in a sitting room where it can be seen in profile. The form reads as art whether full or empty, and works equally in heritage interiors, contemporary plaster-and-linen schemes, and considered commercial spaces, hotel lobbies, restaurant entrances, and gallery interiors.
Bespoke Commission
Size, timber, and proportion can all be tailored. We work directly with homeowners, interior designers, and architects on bespoke variations, including larger floor-scale versions on request. Please use the Enquire form on the site to start a commission or to discuss trade pricing.
Delivery
We hand-build each piece to order in our Worcestershire workshop, with a typical lead time of 4 to 8 weeks. Bespoke commissions may take a little longer. We ship across the UK and worldwide, packaging every piece in-house for safe transit.

Alex and I worked on some deco-style ideas for wall lights in our new home. The result was not only a beautiful looking and original set but one made with real craft and style. We purchased several more of his pieces including a table, stand light and hanging light. The designs look eternally fresh and have added real impact to our drawing and dining rooms.

This is a quick note to thank you Alex, and your colleagues, for the first class service with the delivery and installation of the Iris floor lamps. The brief was to design a beautiful, peaceful room in a contemporary home, for a busy professional couple. Using your leading edge technology we delivered statement pieces, which has proved to be the focal point to the room, and it has the best green credentials!
Neil and Jo –
We’re absolutely delighted with what you have produced, it has exceeded our expectations, it looks superb both in the day and night. It is not just a light but a sculpture which is made even better by the multiple reflections from the glass in the hallway and stairs.

I just felt I wanted to tell you that every single person who has entered the kitchen has said “wow, those lights are fabulous”. They give us such pleasure not only visually but the tone and spread of the light is perfect. We feel we have a truly unique product. Thank you once again.

I confirm receipt of our Iris Floor Light. It is in situ and looks beautiful. I am sure it will receive much admiration from friends and family. One of my ski buddies has the larger version in the hallway of her newly renovated house and says that it certainly has that WOW factor for everyone who sees it.
