The Story
Behind the brand.
Alex founded MacMaster Design in 2009 with a conviction that everyday objects deserve extraordinary craft. Working from a studio in the Worcestershire countryside, he designs and builds each piece himself, from the initial sketch to the final finish.
His work draws from Art Deco geometry, organic natural form, and the quiet beauty of grain and timber. Every commission is a collaboration, shaped as much by the client’s space as by Alex’s own aesthetic instincts.
MacMaster pieces have been installed in private homes, luxury hotels, and flagship retail environments across the UK, Europe, and beyond.

The Space
Inside the Workshop
The MacMaster workshop is located at The Guildings, Trimpley, Bewdley, in the Worcestershire countryside, a working studio where design, development, manufacture, and packaging all take place under one roof. Visits by appointment.

We use only FSC-certified natural timbers, sourced from suppliers committed to responsible forest management.
Minimum Waste
We design for maximum output and minimum waste. Leftover materials from one range feed the next.
Entirely In-House
Design, development, manufacture, and packaging, every stage happens in our own Worcestershire workshop.
